Export Solutions

Customs

Aircraft can travel under their own power.

Any movement out of the UK or EU customs territory is considered a deemed export, even when a formal export is not declared via customs systems.

Aircraft removed by either deemed or formal export can return under returned goods relief rules without further payment of tax, subject to certain conditions.

When an aircraft is being sold or transferred it is good practice to export the aircraft at the point of departure for compliance reasons and mitigation of VAT in certain circumstances (sales export).

We work with aircraft owners, brokers, operators and managers to ensure compliance with export rules and to safeguard future risk exposure by providing export solutions and advice where required.
