Reflecting on AERO Friedrichshafen 2026: Focus, momentum, and meaningful business conversations.

From 22 to 24 April 2026, our team attended AERO Friedrichshafen, a European trade show for general aviation, air sports, and business aviation. This year’s edition marked a step change in both scale and commercial relevance, and it proved to be an important platform for focused engagement and business led conversations.

AERO 2026 brought together around 860 exhibitors from more than 50 countries, welcoming approximately 37,000 visitors from 88 nations across 12 exhibition halls and extensive static aircraft displays. It was the largest AERO to date, underlining the strength and resilience of the global aviation ecosystem.

A notably commercial atmosphere

One of the most striking features of this year’s show was its decidedly business oriented tone. Following the cancellation of EBACE earlier in the month, AERO increasingly positioned itself as Europe’s central showcase for business aviation, with expanded space, aircraft displays, and exhibitor presence dedicated to this segment.

For our team, this translated into high quality, purposeful meetings and great networking. Conversations were focused on capability, delivery, and long term alignment. A welcome shift that allowed time and space for more substantive exchanges.

What we achieved

Across the three days, the team was genuinely pleased with what was accomplished from a business perspective:

  • Strengthening relationships with existing partners
  • Initiating new, credible conversations with future collaborators
  • Gaining sharper insight into where investment, innovation, and demand are moving across general and business aviation

The show reinforced the importance of being present where decisions are being shaped.

AERO’s broader significance

Beyond individual meetings, AERO remains a barometer for the health and direction of the sector. This year’s programme placed strong emphasis on:

  • Business aircraft and services
  • Sustainable propulsion, including hydrogen and battery technologies
  • Next-generation platforms, from advanced turboprops to electric aviation concepts

These themes were reinforced through packed exhibition halls, busy static displays, and well attended conference sessions.

Looking ahead

Attending AERO Friedrichshafen 2026 was a valuable opportunity to step back, assess the wider market, and confirm where we should be focusing our time and energy next. The show delivered clarity, momentum, and a strong sense of where meaningful opportunity lies.

Our thanks go to everyone who took the time to connect with us during the event and to the team on the ground, whose preparation and focus ensured the visit delivered real value.
