Our Martyn Fiddler Isle of Man office has an exciting opportunity for a Head of Compliance to join our busy team.
We are looking for an experienced Head of Compliance who can:
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight
- Act as the Group Head of Compliance and MLRO in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and oversee the compliance framework across the Group, ensuring ongoing compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and controls to support regulatory compliance and corporate governance obligations.
- Lead the design, implementation and delivery of the annual Compliance Monitoring Programme.
- Oversee the identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting of regulatory and compliance risks.
- Ensure the effective operation of systems and controls designed to prevent financial crime, including anti-money laundering, countering the financing of terrorism and sanctions compliance.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to the Board and senior management on regulatory developments and compliance matters.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities and manage regulatory relationships, inspections, enquiries and reporting.
- Prepare and present compliance, risk and financial crime reports to the Board and relevant governance committees.
- Maintain oversight of Data Protection compliance requirements and support the business in fulfilling its obligations under applicable data protection legislation.
Risk Management and Governance
- Lead the ongoing development and maintenance of the Group Risk Management Framework.
- Promote a robust risk and compliance culture throughout the business.
- Monitor emerging regulatory developments and assess their impact on the Group.
- Oversee the maintenance of risk registers and compliance action plans.
- Support the continuous enhancement of governance arrangements and internal controls.
- Ensure appropriate management information is produced to support informed decision making.
Leadership and Management - Lead and develop the Compliance function.
- Provide effective management, support and development for the Compliance Officer.
- Promote professional development and knowledge sharing across the business.
- Deliver compliance training and awareness initiatives for employees and management.
- Act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders on compliance, conduct and regulatory matters.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive continual improvement within the compliance framework, identifying opportunities to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
- Support strategic projects and business initiatives by providing regulatory and risk management input.
- Contribute to the achievement of Group objectives and wider business strategy.
- Undertake continuing professional development requirements relevant to the role and regulated positions held.
