Exciting opportunity for a Client Bookkeeper to join our team!

The Martyn Fiddler team has an exciting opportunity for a Client Bookkeeper to join our busy, client-focussed team.

Service delivery is at the heart of this role which will include bookkeeping, VAT returns and other client driven reporting. If you have a bookkeeping qualification, CAT or similar, and can demonstrate experience in a similar role we would like to hear from you.

Key tasks & role:

The role will include day-to-day bookkeeping, preparing VAT returns for client companies which are mainly in the aviation industry, and supporting our team of administrators by providing responses to accounting queries as needed.

What we are looking for:

Ideally the successful candidate will have CAT/AAT/IAB or a similar qualification, with at least 3 years experience in a CSP environment. Knowledge of NAV One, VT and Laserfiche would be an advantage, together with good Excel Skills.

The individual should be able to work without direct supervision and to tight deadlines which will require good communication and team skills.

Main duties & responsibilities:

  • Bank postings and reconciliations
  • Sales and purchase invoice bookkeeping
  • Loan postings
  • Preparation of VAT and other tax returns
  • Preparation of management accounts
  • Dealing with internal and external queries
  • Ad hoc tasks as required

This is a permanent position (35 hours a week) and offers a competitive salary and rewards package. Part-time hours can also be considered.

The chosen candidate will be predominantly office based with the ability to work from home one day a week following an initial probation period.
