Key Takeaways from NBAA 2025

17 Oct, 2025

The NBAA Tax Regulatory and Risk Management Conference took place earlier this week, with over 300 delegates sacrificing their Sunday to attend the two day event.

The conference started with a valuable update on the latest developments on US tariffs and how the NBAA Tax Committee, and others, have been supporting the lobbying efforts of NBAA.  These efforts have ensured that the US administration is aware of the valuable contribution aviation, and the business jet sector, make to US trade.

The conference moved on to consider all aspects of tax that might relate to the ownership or operation of a business jet in the US, walking delegates through the various tax issues applying to a range of topics from bonus depreciation through to personal use of an aircraft, federal excise taxes, sales and use taxes.  The conference was technical but informative, well organised yet informal enough to promote networking, and offered end of day sessions that effectively recapped the days’ presentations. It provided practical insight into how the taxes discussed could impact specific situations.

Adrian Parcell-Jones, Tax Director, commented: “As ever, the NBAA Tax Committee leadership team ensured the event was a great success and I look forward to returning next year to catch up with industry colleagues old and new”.
