Trainee Bookkeeper/Accounts Administrator Full time and permanent 35 hours per week immediate start
This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Finance team in a brand new role designed to offer the chance to train (or re-train) as a qualified bookkeeper/accounts administrator or simply to acquire a new skill through gaining practical experience.
The role is permanent full-time position and offers a competitive salary and rewards package.
Key tasks and role:
The role will include Bookkeeping for a variety of client companies which comprise mainly business aviation but also payroll, property and some trusts. This role will also provide support to the internal Finance function.
What we are looking for:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 GCSE s (including Maths and English) and some previous office experience is preferable. No bookkeeping experience is required as full training will be given, but the ability to pay attention to detail to ensure a high level of accuracy, along with a strong work ethic, is desirable.
The chosen candidate will be able to demonstrate strong Excel & IT Skills. The individual should be able to work without direct supervision and to tight deadlines which will require good communication and team skills.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Bank postings and reconciliations
- Sales and purchase invoice bookkeeping
- Loan postings
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Dealing with internal and external queries
- Ad hoc tasks as required
