Celebrating 26 Remarkable Years!

28 Jul, 2026
We are shining a light and celebrating an incredible milestone as our valued colleague, Robert Wilkinson, marks twenty six years of service before retiring.

For more than two decades, he has been part of the growth, evolution and success of the business, contributing not only his expertise but also his perspective on some truly memorable moments in our history.

As Rob reflects on his time with us, one memory stands out in particular: the company’s 25th anniversary celebrations in 2009, a special occasion that brought together colleagues, friends and clients to celebrate the journey and achievements of the business over the years.

Of course, for many colleagues past and present, Rob’s legacy extends far beyond the office. Over the years, he has amassed countless memories through team days and social gatherings that have become the stuff of office legend. From sea bikes, paddleboards and clay pigeon shooting to gaming afternoons, beach barbecues and steam train trips to Castletown complete with enormous picnics and games, there were wargames and laser blasting sessions followed by axe throwing and barbecues, and a particularly unforgettable Christmas party held at Castle Rushen in Castletown.

One especially memorable occasion involved a colleague, sadly no longer with us, catching a brown trout from the river running through a directors garden. The fish was promptly cleaned and cooked for breakfast, creating one of those stories that has been retold many times over the years.

Twenty six years of service is an extraordinary achievement and a testament to dedication, professionalism and loyalty. We are grateful for the contribution Rob has made, the relationships he has built and the impact he has had on so many people throughout his career.

Mark Byrne commented: “Robert has been a valued colleague and friend, and he will be missed in all sorts of ways in the office. He is one of those people who is happy to pick up those tasks that make office life that bit better: looking after plants, tending the demanding coffee machine, making sure the FT gets delivered and much more besides. I am sure we will stay in touch and wish him well on his future travels and fishing expeditions. He may even find time to reorganise his extensive and eclectic record collection.”

On behalf of everyone, we would like to wish Rob every success in this next chapter, a well deserved retirement and plenty of time to enjoy the hobbies, travels and adventures that lie ahead.

Thank you for twenty six wonderful years. You will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. We, and the office plants are missing you already!
