The 2020 Isle of Man Aviation Conference is our 10th anniversary and will take place on 18th June at the Villa Marina in Douglas, Isle of Man.

Organised by Martyn Fiddler Aviation and supported by the Isle of Man Aircraft Registry, the conference has a simple mission: to bring business aviation professionals together in a friendly, business-focused environment.

Heather Gordon, Legal Director at Martyn Fiddler Aviation remarks:

“Getting to our 10th year is amazing! It is wonderful that we have managed to keep the conference modern and appealing to returning guests while still attracting newcomers and we are going all out for our first decade’s celebration this year!”

Graham Williamson, Founder of Sonas Aviation, will be returning as conference chairman.

Nicole Taylor, Conference Organiser notes:

“Graham has done a brilliant job for the last two years and is such a pleasure to work with; the team are delighted he has accepted our invitation to return. His charisma and in-depth knowledge of the industry make him a brilliant Chairman and Moderator, always encouraging interesting debates from our panellists…plus there’s always hope for a good old sing-song to wind up the day.”

Inspired by the start of a new decade and celebrating the conferences ten year anniversary, the agenda will focus on taking a look back over the last ten years, the challenges the industry has faced and is still facing, as well as recognising successes and how far the industry have come. The latter half of the day will focus on discussing the future of aviation and what to expect over the next ten years.

Graham Williamson comments:

“It is a great honour to have been invited to Chair the IOM Aviation Conference for a third year and I am looking forward to the opportunity to work with the team from Martyn Fiddler Aviation to make this year’s event even bigger and better.
With so much political change and re-focus on environmental issues, the conference allows us to discuss the changes and our industries going forward. Further, now that we are in the Brexit transition period, I am sure we will be able to discuss the tangible risks and opportunities that Brexit will present and how we are implementing solutions to keep our customers flying.

The environment and global warming are now priority matters for business. Many operators are already developing ground-breaking concepts to reduce our client’s carbon footprint such as carbon offsetting, sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and enhanced ATC procedures, etc. The conference will consider the development of new technologies that will reduce fuel burns and improve engine efficiency including zero emission solutions. Business Aviation has always been at the vanguard of aviation technology development and we will lead again in this vital challenge to make our essential services environmentally acceptable for our clients and future generations.

The Isle of Man Aviation Conference is now well established as one of the year’s principal opportunities to meet colleagues, partners and friends in one of the World’s leading Aviation locations. We maximise the opportunity to network with colleagues, partners and friends and try to have a little fun as well.

I look forward to seeing you all in the Isle of Man on 18th June”.
