A premium service in a premium jurisdiction – Martyn Fiddler at the 3rd IBGAA conference

The third annual IBGAA conference (14TH November 2024) brought together people from across the business aviation ecosystem to discuss the benefits and opportunities of doing business and establishing a base in Ireland. The agenda spanned the hot topics of sustainability, new aircraft technology, making efficiencies in aircraft operations and working together to deliver the best possible product.
Martyn Fiddler’s Legal Director, Heather Gordon, was invited to join a panel discussion setting up AOC’s and doing business in Ireland.
Heather commented:
“We had a choice of jurisdictions when setting up our new business arm, for us, Ireland was head and shoulders above all other European jurisdictions. In addition to Ireland’s obvious benefits of time zone, legal system and transparency in government and corporate governance, we felt it was the young, educated workforce and business orientated government which would help raise our business value and service offering for clients. Ultimately, we want to provide a premium service to our clients and Ireland is the best jurisdiction for us to do this in.”
Heather was joined by Martin Kennaugh (Client Services Director) and Barbara Shaw (Business Development, UK and Ireland).
Barbara noted:
“My first IBGAA Conference did not disappoint! The IBGAA delivered a fantastic line-up of panellists, sponsors, and thought-provoking panel discussions. This event truly embodies the culture of innovation and ambition that continues to evolve in the Irish Business Aviation sector.
The clear message from all participants was that Ireland has a ‘can do’ approach and all the elements that are needed to support significant growth in the sector. Together, we must continue to promote the achievements of the business aviation sector in Ireland and to support the industry to retain and grow Ireland’s place as a global leader in business aviation”.
Martin added:
“Business aviation and Ireland could both benefit and grow from what each other has to offer; it’s exciting that we are playing a part in things right from the beginning.
I love the relaxed atmosphere of the IBGAA conference, where subjects that are of genuine interest to attendees are discussed. It is always fun to catch up with old friends and make new ones, possibly over a pint or two…”
