Insight, Connection, and Churros in Barcelona!

Insight, Connection, and Churros in Barcelona!

21 Oct, 2025

The 3rd Understanding Superyacht & Business Jet Tax Conference in Barcelona, brought together industry leaders for a full day of meaningful exchange, practical insights, and a generous helping of churros with chocolate during our sponsored mid morning break.

Hosted by Quaynote Communications, the event offered a vibrant platform for professionals in aviation and yachting to connect and share expertise. Panels, including a virtual session from the US, explored key topics such as:

  • The role of non VAT territories in asset transactions
  • The impact of EU VAT ‘quick fixes’ on yacht deals
  • VAT and customs changes across the EU and UK
  • Temporary Admission (TA) in corporate aviation
  • Common pitfalls in aviation finance and leasing structures

We were proud to see Greta Kemper contribute to the panel on TA in corporate aviation. Her thoughtful discussion on how interpretations of commercial versus private use affect TA application sparked valuable conversation among owners and operators working through this complex issue. We also proudly sponsored the mid-morning break and can confirm the churros with chocolate were a hit!

A heartfelt thank you to Berta G., Alison Singhal, Nic Arnold, and Andrew Wilson for your collaboration and insight. Your contributions made the day both informative and enjoyable.
